A few of our Community Powerhouse Brokers participated in the 23rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Scholarship Breakfast on Monday, January 19, 2026. They were responsible for giving the Welcome & Statement of Occasion.


Yesterday some of our math teachers attended the Upstate Palmetto Math Professional Development on Using Manipulatives to Support Student Success in Math in Gaffney, SC.

Today Ms. Jones and Ms. James had the opportunity to present their action plans at the South Carolina Department of Education as part of the Foundations in School Leadership Program.
Ms. Jones presented her action plan, “Unlocking Potential: Improving Academic Outcomes Through Instruction, Intervention, and Engagement,” focused on improving academic outcomes and progress for our multilingual learners. Ms. James presented her plan titled , “Using Influence to Build Bridges: An Action Research Project on Strengthening Home, School, and Community Connections,” with a focus on AVID.
We are so proud of our future leaders!

Congrats to Amelia M. for winning the Spelling Bee today! She will represent Rucker at the District Spelling Bee! We are proud of our other classroom winners as well. Thanks to Mr. Nunnery for coordinating things and Mrs. Criminger and Mrs. Osae for judging !

Our chorus students went to All Region Choir yesterday. Thanks for representing Rucker well!

Former teachers, administrators, board members, and community members who have made a lasting impact on our schools are eligible for nomination.
