Charlotte Motor Speedway is trucking donations directly to areas hard hit by Hurricane Helene. We called on Friday to find out what their most urgent needs are and they requested the items listed in this post. We are grateful for your participation in this drive! We will accept donations on Monday and Tuesday ONLY as Donations will be delivered to Charlotte Speedway on Wednesday, October 9th! Info about the Speedway’s efforts can be found HERE: https://www.charlottemotorspeedway.com/media/news/hurricane-relief-drive-extended-each-wednesday-october-charlotte-motor-speedway.html

Listen, Warriors. We could not have had MORE FUN if we tried! These few photos are just the beginning of all the content we have to share. We're going to post throughout the week, but right now our phones can only process so much as they're currently full of color powder. Probably like your kids' ears, hair, clothes and all the things!
Thank you to everyone who came to watch, thank you to our staff and students for a great event, BIG thank you to our PTO for ALL of their hard work throughout Booster, and most of all...thank you for each and every penny of the $82,012 we raised. This is the most we've ever shot for, and you helped us hit it.
We absolutely LOVE our Warrior Community!

Dear Warrior Families,
We are excited to welcome everyone to our Color Run tomorrow! Due to the recent storm and today's rain, we have relocated the event to the ILMS Football Field. Please park in the middle school lot and kindly observe the district's clear bag policy, which applies to all events. Parents are invited to cheer on their students from the Home Team stands, as students will now have the opportunity to run the entire track! For your convenience, a map detailing parking, seating areas, and students' run times (organized by homeroom) is attached.
If you plan to take your student home after the run, please ensure you check them out with their homeroom teacher and have your ID readily available. Only individuals listed on the approved contact list will be permitted to pick up students. Please note that students may only be dismissed once they have been properly checked out with their teacher.
We are close to reaching our goal, but not quite there yet. Help our students earn their BIG reward—our Admin participating in a Weird Food Challenge at the pep rally, live! Donate at MyBooster.com today. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow, and appreciate your continued support!
Sincerely,
Kevin Miller, Principal

We are so glad Ms. Harwood is here at ILIS! This is her first year, and she's fit in like a glove. Students in her 5th grade math class are learning how to simplify expressions using the order of operations. They did a scavenger hunt around the room to practice their skills!
Thank you so much for sharing, Ms. Harwood!

We have a Throwback post for you on this fine Throwback Thursday! Are we aging ourselves? Maybe.
Mrs. Bright and Mrs. Perdelwitz 6th grade Computer classes finished their first project on 9/17!
💻 WATERMARK ARK 💻
Students added a watermark logo to a google doc and successfully typed it using letters. After removing the watermark, their work turned out AMAZING!
Enjoy some of the students top favs! We are always amazed by the incredible work students are able to do thanks to Mrs. Bright and Mrs. Perdelwitz’s creative lesson plans. We hope you love these as much as we do! (There are even more photos on our Facebook page!)

Check out our awesome students and staff rocking their Jerseys today! We got to wear them thanks to your generosity. Thank you for helping us cross the $20,000 line in our Booster fundraiser! We are sitting at $36, 372 right now, and we appreciate every penny. We still have more to earn to hit our $80,000 goal. Don’t forget- Top earning classes between 8am this morning and 8am tomorrow morning will get to PIE PRINCIPAL MILLER! And that’s not top earners overall, just in that 24 hour window. (Pssst: Our top earning classes overall will win a Pizza Party!)
Check back tomorrow for our next 24 hour challenge…let’s just say, it’s a sweet one!

Our Journalism students have officially completed their first Warrior Weekly Review production for our ILIS Students! But these videos don’t just *happen*. It takes leadership from their amazing teachers Ms. Lail and Ms. Brandwood, who cultivate their creativity and inspire them to think outside the box for exciting content. In addition to learning how to edit videos, they teach them how to use DSLR cameras properly to capture the best video and images possible. This special touch elevates Warrior Weekly Review (and What’s Up Wednesday) and gives it a professional look. Students and staff agree, the videos produced out of our Journalism classes are one of the highlights of our week!
📸 Great work, Warriors! 📸

Families- we have a great challenge for your students today, and it's only good for 24 hours!
Whichever 5th & 6th grade class raises the most money from 8am this morning (9/24) until 8am tomorrow morning (9/25), they will get to PIE PRINCIPAL MILLER! It's okay if your student's class isn't the top earner overall, this is a challenge that wipes the slate clean and allows everyone the chance to WIN! We can't wait to see which classes pull ahead and earn this incentive!
Visit MyBooster.com TODAY to donate!

We did it! We hit our goal for JERSEY DAY tomorrow! Make sure your students wear their favorite jersey: whether it's football or soccor, volleyball or hockey, cheer or baksetball- you name it!
Once we hit our $40,000 goal, students will earn extra recess! We are currently at an amazing $30,063. Just incredible.
THANK YOU for all your support Warrior Families! And apologies for all the exclaimation points- we're very excited over here. ;)
