As we head into the last hours of 2024, allow us to wish you and your family a safe and Happy New Year! We want our last post of 2024 to be some of the highlights from our December to Remember that might not have made it into other posts! From concerts to dress up days, classroom events and parties, please enjoy the smiling faces of your amazing children.
It is truly our honor to teach each and every one of your students. We are beyond proud of the culture and community we have at ILIS. We can give much of that credit thanks to the families who offer us incredible support and the educators and support staff in this building who are dedicated professionals always striving to be their best for their students. We continue to think big and dream even bigger as we reach for new heights through educating your students. Our goal is to continue growing their hearts and minds outside the classroom through our counselors’ initiatives, highlighting good deeds with the Worthy Warrior program, and more. We look forward to a fantastic second semester at ILIS! (More photos can be found on our Facebook page!)
PS: Stuck on what to do tonight? Look back at the parent newsletter from December 20th! Our students gave lots of ideas on how to have a fantastic New Year’s Eve!

Ms. Hensley had a project that spanned over a few days as she taught her students about the way different cultures and religions celebrate holidays important to them this time of year! She thought of every little detail to make this engaging and fun, including giving printed airline tickets letting students and invited staff members know the destination! On this day, they were traveling to Israel. Students learned about Hanukkah- how it came to be, traditions of the holiday, and other culture and religious impacts that it brings to those of Jewish faith, as well as those who reside in Israel. Students even got to enjoy chocolate gelt! Thank you for taking us on this journey with you, Ms. Hensley! And to those who are celebrating, we wish you a Happy Hanukkah!
